Plainclothes Tracy
We were lucky enough to meet Plainclothes Tracy in 2009, when they were a young band still rising on the scene. They had an excellent pop/punk aesthetic, but it was filtered through a mostly acoustic/folksy trio. They had some ideas for an EP release, and together we were able to record and mix their debut self titled EP. In 2012 when the band was ready for its follow-up, we teamed up again for the recording, this time with a changed and much-expanded (and very much electric) lineup. Not long after that band founders Kym Hawkins had moved to Brooklyn (eventually to form Gillian), and drummer Eric Grass had moved to North Carolina.
