Tommy is originally from Memphis, like we are. We met him in 1987 and have been friends ever since. Our first band together was the henrys, formed in 1994. Later on we played in The Rockwells and Tommy Bateman and the Thunder Thieves together. Jonathan played in The Passport Again with Tommy, and one of the songs that led to the start of that particular project was “The Travel Analogy”, which we recorded at our home studio in Memphis in summer 2000. Tommy’s also played trombone for various projects, including a few Snowglobe albums, as well as on Christabel and the Jons’ Christmas album.
